No Lag = Win & Naxx + Bonus HAT commentary!

January 22nd, 2009 by Chitsu

Grats On Naxx25 Guys!
It’s a staple of WoW to hear people blame their failure on lag. It’s almost comical some of the retardation people attempt to excuse by blaming latency issues. So, it’s hard to talk about why we have taken so long to clear Naxx, as “lag” is a reason that just going to cause others to giggle.

I will say that gluth doing 3 decimates in a row and loatheb having a -1.5 second window for heals are a couple of examples of the “slow going” we faced. I have said, and will continue to say that we have an AMAZING group of players here. They never gave up, never surrendered to the despair that gnawed at us all, and last night, we demonstrated what we can do when the server gives us a chance.

Most of the guilds out there scheduled raids during off-peak hours to get this done months ago, and grats to them for that, but our schedule and roster didn’t allow us that opportunity, so we will take our pose a bit late on this one, but our overall objective is to prepare for Uldar, and that objective has not been compromised.

See you tonight for Malygos!

Bye bye HAT bug…
This is the first time in WoW history where there was a bug that benefited me directly and I was able to actually take FULL ADVANTAGE of it in the time alloted.

I must say, it’s probably the most enjoyable experience I have had as a rogue. Not so much the face-rolling simplicity of mashing eviscerate, obviously that’s broken and fun in and of itself, but what really made this fun was the sense of teamwork. Rogues have never mattered, not really. There have been a few fights here and there where a kick or stealth was needed, but nothing that ever really tied us to the group as a “must have”. The bugged HAT talent didn’t give us the ability to buff the raid, but it did give us the ability to REALLY buff each other. Also, the ability to stack a group up, and to have a relationship with specific players, and being almost completely dependent upon them in order to perform was a very nice change. We had groups like this in BC, when totems and buffs weren’t raid wide, but there is a subtle distinction here. It’s not just a % bonus from a totem or a shout that is involved, it is _literally_ our entire damage output. If I were to DPS on my own, I would push out about 1300-1600 dps. That is a complete fail as any raider will tell you, but with my team, I could push 4k fairly consistently.

I will miss the HAT bug. My DPS is down a bit, I’ve fallen from #1 on the meters (regularly, not always) to around #5 or #6. It’s still a viable build, and I’ll stick with it (since im geared and gemmed that way) but all I have left of my rock’em-sock’em is this screenshot:

New and Improved Jolly Rogers; New Chocolate Chip Flavor!

December 9th, 2008 by Chitsu

Some of our vets are still in the process of leveling up, but for the most part, we are unleashed again upon the world of raidcraft.

We’ve said goodbye to some folks, and hello to others, and our first week of 25man raiding was very successful.

Normally we take pictures of our kills, but lately it seems there is little or no interest in documenting our recent accomplishments, so I’ll try to take some this week to document our kills that we haven’t posed for yet.

Good job guildies! Suck a nut, Haters .

October 24th, 2008 by Chitsu

I’m not normally one to stoop to the level of trolls and haters, but as a guild, and certainly as leaders, we have been remarkably “quiet” about our accomplishments.

We take our success along with our failures in private, and you don’t see a lot of posts demonstrating to others just how hard we can thump our own chests.

So I find it quite distasteful for others to criticize our players. We’ve worked really hard to get where we are, and we’ve had to make some tough choices to get here, and I really can’t abide some miscreant cockmunching douchetards trash talking us.

If we were arrogant, and boastful, and generally acted like a bunch of spoiled twats, then I would expect others to harshly criticize us, but since we are so small, and keep pretty much to ourselves, I can only assume that someone who “didn’t work out” is out there tweaking their own nipples and giggling as they post their asinine comments all over the public forums.

The thing that I want to stress to everyone here is that whatever “bad feelings” you may have as a result of reading these posts, you all have nothing to prove here. The officers are all supremely happy with your hard work and effort, and we are all completely fired up for the next 3 weeks in sunwell, and eager to see what sort of impact we will have in the raiding community when the expansion comes.

Don’t let random spunksponges spoil your good moods and high spirits. I assure you, no one in our peer group of raiding guilds is going to take anonymous forum trolls seriously. All leaders of mature raiding guilds recognize a disgruntled ex-raider when they see one.

Here are our lovely boss kills.

First, our FINAL PRE-PATCH KILL!!!
This is as far as we got when everything was still normal.

And here are our post patch kills. Much less demanding on healing and DPS, but they still require coordination and teamwork. Good job guys!
