Yup… 83 days after Nihilum killed gruul, we finally managed it. (not to mention the nerf last month.)
So, I am extremely happy to see that everyone in the guild fixed their shit. DPS was in the proper places, healing was working, and our tanks were getting it done. We did a full clear in 3.5 hours, including Gruul, which we haven’t killed before.
Everyone should take a bow and pat yourselves on the back for pulling it together. I think we finally have our guild whipped in to a raiding calibur team. There is still some suckiness left to purge out, but we are about 80% not stupid at this point, and I really appreciate the efforts you have all put forth to bring us this far.
Rebuilding a new team of raiders has been an arduous task, there has been a lot of yelling, breaking of miscellaneous objects, and plenty of blame to go around. Now that we have reached a point where people seem to have finally grasped the basics of the game, and their role in it, I think we should see great things ahead.
Keep up the good work, we still have a _LOT_ of growing to do as a team, but rest assured that we are on the right path, and things are starting to fall in to place.
Here’s our killshot.

Things are pretty much the same around here.
Our DPS has spent the last few weeks trying to learn how to stop sucking ass. As have most of our other classes. By and large, I would say most people have decided to stop being retarded and focus on fixing themselves so that we don’t have to replace them.
We were previously sitting at about 75% of what I would consider to be “normal” dps, now I would say we are approaching 90%. We’ll see what happens tonight in Gruul’s Lair, but I am anticipating a much more successful night than we have had the last few weeks.
Recruitment is still open. Anyone who thinks they have what it takes to stroll in and bump one of our members out of their raiding slot, please, stop on by and put in an app. We are here to win, and if that means we have to cut a man loose, then sobeit. Of course, you’ll have to work to prove you are actually better, and part of that means demonstrating attendance, patience, and professionalism. So keep that in mind if you are 12 and think you own everyone. We aren’t looking for chest-thumpers.
Lastly, our kara teams have started to finally mature in to two distinctive groups which have been pretty much locked in for each week. Our original team, with the most experience, is clearing kara weekly. Our newer team is clearing the front half consistently, but still has a good deal to learn about the back half, Aran in particular. We are also looking to start building the foundations of our third and final group. Interested players are signing up now in our member forums, and new applicants who think they have the dedication to make it happen are again encouraged to apply. Currently our first 2 teams contain just about every serious player we have. With about 5 people waiting to get in to each one. We need about 10 more solid members to build a third team, so if you are interested in joining, there is probably room. Especially if you are a holy priest.
JR Currently has approximately 2 holy priests that are actively raiding, we could use 2-3 more. If you are one of these classes, we will probably try to butter you up a bit to convince you to join. But make no mistake, if you are being consistently outhealed by our shadow priests (in shadow form) you will placed on the “poop deck” of the Pirate-ship: Yarrr. I don’t care how cool you think it is that you have a full mana bar at the end of the fight, if you aren’t on the meter, you are worthless and wasting one of our raid spots. All the mana in the world won’t matter when it’s time to wipe it up because people died. And save the QQ’ing for someone else, I can watch “feed the children” specials if I want to feel sorry for someone.
Have a quality day.

We kill the Ogre again, grats Feral on shoulders. Grats to the guild bank on the nexus crystals.
Our maulgar kill was much easier the second time around, we still need to push for a 1-shot on this guy, but we are getting there.
Gruul was also improved, instead of being 50% of what we need, we are now 75%. We have another week to gain that extra 25%. On balance, our DPS is our weakest link at this stage of the game. The meters were great, for the top 5. After the top 5, the drop off was pretty steep, and below 10 was pathetic. We have a recruitment post up, so those of you who have been content to suck take note, your spot is being offered to the highest bidder. You are running out of time to stop sucking~~
